FAQ Frequently Asked Questions
Bidder Name Displayed Instead of Paddle Number
This article will address a Frequently Asked Question: "My Bidder's name is showing up in place of their paddle number. HELP!"
Handbid allows bidders to enter in a DisplayName that will show in place of their paddle number. A bidder has to manually add this, so this is not something that they can do by mistake.

In addition, managers can also add in a displayName for a bidder or edit their displayName from their bidder profile in the auction manager.
DisplayNames are a gamification technique used to drive more friendly competition and bidding behavior. We recommend you let the bidders keep their display names unless you strongly feel otherwise. In those cases, you can remove their displayName from the Auction Manager.
