Check-in & Add Bidders Through the Handbid iPad App

Easily check-in and add new bidders to your auction event!

If you're hosting an in-person event, during the check-in process, you are able to check in and add bidders from the Handbid iPad app using the PADDLE feature. You can find this feature in the top menu on the iPad.  

To check-in and add a bidder, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the item view in your auction, then select the Paddle icon at the top of the screen.  This will pull up a dialog window that will allow you to search for a user by their email address.  
  2. If the email is found, the user will be added to your auction and their paddle number will be texted to them. 
  3. If the bidder email is not found, you can select the CREATE ACCOUNT button and add a new bidder by entering their first name, last name, email, and cell phone.
  4. Once you create their new account, Handbid will send them a text message with their paddle 


While the PADDLE ID will be sent to the user, it is always good practice to write this number down for the bidder and give it to them.
