Raffles on Handbid (disallowed)

Handbid wants to be a charity's preferred tool to automate its fundraising. In the beginning, that consisted of online auctions and mobile bidding. 

Over the years, we have expanded the toolset to include donations, recurring donations, peer-to-peer fundraising, and crowdfunding tools.   

Our loyal customers appreciate having a suite of tools at their disposal that they can employ, all from one simple, easy-to-use, do-it-yourself interface.   

WHY NOT RAFFLES?

The state-by-state laws governing raffles are extremely complex. Such programs create potential legal risks for our users and us. Proper legal compliance is too difficult to manage via our do-it-yourself platform. We will continue to look into this issue to determine if any alternatives might be possible in the future. Consider Opportunity Drawings

In Handbid, we can set up opportunity drawings using for-sale items. However, before setting up such a drawing, check with your local and state government rules and regulations and consult an attorney.
