How to restrict a Live Stream

This article will show you how to restrict your Live Stream for private viewing.

In Handbid there are two settings to allow you to manage who is viewing your live stream. If neither is selected, anyone can view the Live Stream in your auction or campaign.

The two options for this are Only registered bidders can watch Live Stream and Require Ticket purchase to view Live Stream.  These settings can be found in the BIDDERS tab of your settings gear wheel.

Only Registered bidders can watch Live Stream

If you select Only registered bidders can watch Live Stream and the person can not view the Live Stream they will see this screen. They will then be given the option to log in or register for your event to then be able to view it.

Require Ticket to view Live Stream

If you select Require Ticket to view Live Stream and someone who does not have a ticket tries to view the Live Stream they will see this screen. They will be given the option to buy tickets in order to see the stream. For more information about purchasing a ticket click here

If both options are selected

If you have both options selected and a person doesn't have a ticket and is not registered they will see the screen which is the same as if they were not registered for the event. They will first see this screen and if they attempt to view the live stream after registering and NOT buying a ticket they will see the "Ticket Required" screen.

It is not necessary to select both options. If you select "Require Ticket to view Live Stream" the user will have to register to purchase a ticket regardless.
